Thanks to the implementation of the new strategic goal, enterprises that have been idle for a long time resume their activity in Khujand

In honor of the worthy meeting of the 30th anniversary of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Sughd region, it is planned to commission 6969 objects of various purposes. Of this number, 300 enterprises will be built. The purpose of their creation is the implementation of the fourth national goal - the industrialization of the economy of the republic. New small and medium-sized enterprises are being created, work at idle enterprises is resuming. Basically, their activity is aimed at the production of import-substituting products.

In 2019, in the Sughd region, in order to achieve this goal, as well as to provide domestic products with domestic products, it is planned to create 100 new industrial enterprises, where 1,730 people will be provided with jobs. Until October 1 of this year, 82 enterprises are already involved, where 239 people are provided with work. At the same time, over the nine months of this year, about ten idle enterprises resumed their activities. One of such glass container manufacturing enterprises, Laal, which was idle from 2013 to 2018, was visited by our correspondent. About plans, production capacity, existing problems of the enterprise - in the report of the correspondent of NIAT "Khovar" Abduahad Dadabaev.

In an interview, Acting Director of Laal Open Joint Stock Company Muhayo Maksudova said that, taking into account the significance of the instructions of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon, voiced in the Address to the Parliament of the Republic, as well as providing the domestic market with glass containers, starting from the end of July of this year, with the support of the Executive Body State authorities of the Sughd region, the enterprise was resumed.

“The company has three production lines for the production of liter, two- and three-liter cans with a total capacity of 60 thousand pieces per day. Today, there is one line for the production of two-liter cans. 15 thousand cans are produced per day. 60 people are engaged in this, ”the source said.

The production of glass jars begins with the lava production workshop, where at a temperature of 1700-1800 degrees a special mixture is made from a mixture of sand, soda ash and broken glass, which is delivered to the glassware production workshop. It is in this workshop that banks are formed. Then, in a furnace at a temperature of 450-500 degrees, the products are heated.

As Mukhayo Maksudova said, raw materials for production (sand, broken glass) are purchased domestically, and natural gas and soda ash are imported from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Speaking about the history of the enterprise, it was noted that it was created in 1942. Initially, it acted as a production workshop at a cannery evacuated from Tiraspol (Moldova). In 1949, the glass container shop at the cannery was transformed into an independent enterprise for the production of glass containers for the canning industry. Then the design capacity of the enterprise was 90 thousand cans per day.

Over the years, the company produced glass jars of various capacities for canning, as well as glass bottles for alcoholic and dairy products. Moreover, until 2002, the company's products, along with sales on the domestic market, were also exported to neighboring countries.

When asked about the main reasons for the idle time of the enterprise for five years, M. Maksudova answered: “The main reasons are that the functioning of many partners, that is, canneries located in the region, was suspended. Over these 5 years, a number of small enterprises have been created that have already established themselves in the market. Therefore, our company has a lot of work to do. ”

Speaking about further plans for the development of the enterprise and about increasing the volume of production, M. Maksudova explained that, despite the difficulties, the production capacity will increase in the coming years and how it will take its previous positions in previous years.

“We are taking appropriate measures to resume the activities of the enterprise at full capacity - production lines have been repaired, cooperation agreements have been concluded with private entrepreneurs and retail outlets in the regional markets of the region, which are the main purchasers. To improve the quality of the manufactured goods, a new furnace will be built before the spring of next year. Since the old one is in poor condition over the years of operation, ”said the Acting Director of Laal Open Joint Stock Company.

To date, there are 150 thousand two- and three-liter cans in the enterprise’s warehouse for sale.

Also, for the development of production by the company's specialists, special attention is paid to consumer demand of customers in the domestic market, the search for partners and the creation of new jobs.

With the resumption of the country's glass manufacturing giant, I would like to hope that in the coming years, the Lal enterprise, with the support of the Executive branch of the state government of the region, the Khujand administration, will switch to full capacity and increase production in its country as the main producer of environmentally friendly packaging .
