Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Meeting on the status of flat glass production and industrial processing, technical regulation

On February 08, 2023, a meeting was held at the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as the SSR) on the state of sheet glass production and industrial processing, as well as technical regulation of this segment of the glass industry.

Andrey Evgenievich Gorin, Director of the Department of Sheet Glass and Industrial Processing of the SSR, made a report on the results of 2022. Andrei Evgenievich said that the situation is generally difficult, but the factories continue to produce products for various sectors of the national economy. He said that there was a sharp decline in exports. At the same time, the situation is under control and there are prerequisites that the state of exports will change in a positive direction due to the development of sales to countries that are interested in domestic products.

Talakuev Nikolai Pavlovich, Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Quality Control of the SSR, said that new forms of work on the standardization of finished products will improve its quality and maintain good profitability at factories.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.
