Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. System meetings on the state of the glass industry in Russia. March 22, 2021

In the period from 22 to 26 March 2021, the StekloSouz Association of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held systemic meetings on the state of various segments of the glass industry in Russia for the period of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021.

The working week ended with an extended meeting of the Presidium on March 26, 2020.

On March 22, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the SSR and heads of glass container factories was held. Pavel Aleksandrovich Gorshkov, Director of the Department of Glass Containers, reported on the current situation. According to the results of the work of this segment in 2020, 14.6 billion pieces of glass containers were produced.

At the same time, a stable fact of overproduction has emerged, which will inevitably affect the economic situation of glass factories. Export development helps to reduce pressure on enterprises.

Pavel Gorshkov made a number of proposals, having developed which, in the opinion of the participants in the dialogue, will make it possible to change the situation for the better.

During the discussion, the heads of glass factories expressed their concern about the situation at the BSC.

The "StekloSouz" of Russia was instructed to start consultations with the federal authorities.

The ROP Concept was considered separately.

The meeting participants made decisions. Additions were made to the work plan of the department for 2021.
