Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Scheduled meeting to discuss the contract for expert and analytical research

On July 1, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held a scheduled meeting to discuss an agreement to carry out expert analytical research on the topic “Analysis of opportunities to reduce costs in the glass industry and increase the profitability of activities and profitability of glass producers.”

The meeting was attended by heads of committees of relevant departments of the SSR and interested parties.

The message was made by Alexey Savin, Chairman of the SSR Ecology Committee. In his report, he said that the prepared package of documents is currently being discussed with members of the working group (WG), plant managers and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The decisions of the heads of glass factories dated January 16, May 15 and June 4, 2024 are being implemented in accordance with the road map.

The heads of SSR services made proposals to improve the legal regulation of EPR.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia. Closing the meeting, he expressed his conviction that the proposed solutions to correct the errors of the ROP together with the Government of the Russian Federation will make it possible to overcome the brewing crisis in the glass industry.

The next meeting will be held in early July 2024 at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
