Deputy head of the Ministry of Construction: the second wave of COVID-19 will not stop construction in Russia

Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, said that the second wave of the pandemic would not lead to a halt in construction projects in Russia.

"We have developed a number of safety measures at construction sites that will be applied in the event of a second wave. Therefore, I can say that if this happens, construction will not stop," said the Deputy Minister at a meeting of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Committee, whose words are quoted in the message of the press service of the Ministry of Construction.

On Thursday, Nikita Stasishin entered the UN Committee on Urban Development, Housing Policy and Land Use from Russia. The financial and legal mechanisms developed in the Russian Federation aimed at improving the quality of housing and communal services and creating a comfortable urban environment will be used in the framework of regional cooperation and exchange of experience with UNECE member countries.
