In Bashkiria, the industrial production index reached its maximum value

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Nazarov said that now industry produces the highest volumes of production over the past five years. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister at a meeting of Kurultay, the parliament of Belarus.

It is industry that makes the main contribution (more than 40 percent "to the gross regional product. According to Mr. Nazarov, last year industry accounted for more than 50 percent of the turnover of organizations and 69.8 percent of the volume of goods and services shipped. Our republic is the leader in Russia in processing oil, the production of gasoline and diesel fuel, soda ash, flat glass and some types of special equipment.

Now the region produces three percent of all Russian oil - 18.3 million tons. Of these, 16.1 million tons of oil - directly in Bashkiria itself. This allows the republic to become one of the eight subjects of the Russian Federation in oil production.

According to Andrei Nazarov, the forward movement of industry was helped by the implementation of serious investment projects and the development of new products.

Last year, three new industrial parks appeared in Bashkiria. Today 13 industrial parks are already operating throughout the republic.

The Industrial Development Fund of the Republic of Belarus increased its support to enterprises up to 450 million rubles. In addition, during the pandemic, many enterprises redeployed to produce protective masks and personal protective equipment. This allowed to produce 4.5 million pieces of reusable masks and more than 250 thousand disposable protective suits on their own.

- During the period of the fight against coronavirus, we were almost able to maintain production volumes - in 22 out of 29 sectors, the decline did not exceed 10 percent. And in mining, metallurgy, machine building, there has even been a growth, ”the vice prime minister summed up.
