About a third of the technical requirements and building codes are planned to be recommended. Such a decision may be signed as early as next week, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Friday at a meeting with members of the Delovaya Rossiya Coordinating Council.
"I think that next week we will make the majority of technical requirements, GOSTs and regulations, about 30-35% advisory," Khusnullin said.
He emphasized that since 2015, construction technologies, codes of practice, and GOSTs have not been updated for various reasons. “Despite the fact that these norms were frankly backward in 2015, they didn’t do anything in this direction for five years,” the deputy prime minister added.
According to him, a total of about 10 thousand standards are in force, those regulations that remain in force will be finalized.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously pointed out the need to abolish obsolete building standards. The government, in turn, prepared a nationwide economic recovery plan, which, in particular, proposes measures to improve the regulatory framework to speed up construction procedures.
