Thermal insulation. Insulation manufacturer IZOVAT invests EUR30 million in the construction of a glass wool plant in Ukraine

The co-owners of OBIO LLC (Zhytomyr), which produces basalt thermal insulation TM IZOVAT, will invest EUR30 million in the construction of a new glass wool production plant in Zhytomyr.

“We are building a new plant for the production of glass wool in the Zhytomyr region. The main reason to build a glass wool plant is to replace imports, which mainly come from Russia and Belarus. The second reason is the strengthening of positions in the thermal insulation market of Ukraine due to the introduction of the second product into the product range, "- wrote the co-owner of OBIO LLC Sergey Lishchina on his Facebook page.

According to him, the capacity of the enterprise will be 18 thousand tons / year, which will cover about 70% of the needs of the Ukrainian market.

“After the plant starts operating, the market situation in the glass wool segment will change dramatically. We will try to occupy the main part of the local market for thermal insulation, increase our share and strive to become an absolute leader, ”added Lishchina.

He did not specify the location of the new plant, but noted that the site is located next to the Biomedsteklo plant. The object is located at 26 Promyshlennaya street in Zhitomir, not far from the OBIO plant (6 Promyshlennaya street).

“It is planned to create 150 jobs. Since the technology for the production of glass wool is partially similar to the technology for the production of glass, we will involve specialists from glass factories. In Ukraine, this industry is quite developed, next to our site is the Biomedsteklo plant. We will also partially involve our specialists from the production of stone wool to train new workers in the technology of production of heat-insulating materials, "the businessman summed up.

LLC "OBIO" was founded in 2004, the main activity is the production of non-metallic mineral products.

The founders of the enterprise, according to the Unified State Register, are Sergey Lishchina and Konstantin Pozhidaev (both 37% each), Oleg Sidorik (23.67%), Andrey Lishchina (6%).

The authorized capital is UAH 49 million.
