REA: federal scheme for waste management may be approved in the fall

The federal scheme for household waste management is planned to be approved in the fall. About this portal “The Future of Russia. National projects ”, operated by TASS, was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO), the parent company in the industry.

“At present, REO is completing work on the preparation of a federal waste management scheme. It is planned to approve the scheme in the fall of 2020, ”the report said.

As specified by the company, for this, the existing infrastructure for household waste management is analyzed and the additional need for MSW management facilities is determined.

In early March, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said that the emergence of a federal scheme is expected in mid-2020.
