Planned meeting of the Presidium of «StekloSouz» of Russia

On October 18, 2020, a scheduled meeting of the Presidium was held at the StekloSouz Association of Russia.

Planning issues were considered. The reports on the current situation were made by the directors of the departments of the Association: P.A. Gorshkov. (department of glass containers), A.E. Gorin (department of flat glass and industrial processing of flat glass).

The managers reported that the overall state of production is in a satisfactory state.

At the same time, concern was noted regarding the development of exports. As is known from the EU data, the Russian glass industry in terms of exports is in the top three, along with the metallurgical, chemical and mineral fertilizer industries.

Currently, the EU is deciding to introduce a carbon tax, which, according to the participants in the meeting, contradicts the real state of affairs.

The issues of supplying soda ash to glass foundries were discussed. The events at Bashkhim JSC and the subsequent increase in prices by 12% for glass factories - worsens the economy of enterprises, complicates the competitiveness of the industry as a whole.

The policy of Rosstandart is alarming. Industry TC 074 has prepared and sent several GOST standards for glass containers. However, the specified department, referring to the decision of the higher authorities, announced that it did not plan to fund the standards.

The tendencies in the actions of power structures at some factories in the Tomsk region ("Tomsk Electric Lamp Plant"), Smolensk Region (Glass Market JSC - production of glass containers) were not ignored.

Decisions were made on all the issues raised. "StekloSouz" of Russia has prepared relevant inquiries and appeals to the indicated structures and to the regional governors.

The Association was commissioned until November 15 of this year. complete the Industry Work Program in 2021.

At the next meeting, it is planned to consider issues of medical, quartz glass and hear the head of the representative office of "StekloSouz" of Russia in the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts - V. Tulinov.
