Nizhny Novgorod region took the 1st place in Russia in the number of operating NHP organizations in 2019

According to the results of 2019, the Nizhny Novgorod Region took the first place in Russia in the number of operating organizations of folk art crafts, in the total volume of sales of products of which NHP products account for more than 50%. This was announced at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the region's folk art enterprises. It was held in the Kremlin under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Alexander Yugov.

At the meeting, the results of the industry in 2019 were summed up, plans for the current year were outlined.

“Last year, industry enterprises sold products worth 933 million rubles, which is 5% more than in 2018,” said the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin.

In addition, in 2019, we managed to overcome the negative trend of falling sales of products manufactured by NHP enterprises, as well as reducing the number of employees in the industry.

Thanks to joint work with representatives of small business and governing bodies of places of residence of folk art crafts, the following organizations were added to the number of NHP organizations:

- LLC “AZhNA” (Nizhny Novgorod Region, Voznesenskoye settlement, production of products with Polkhov-Maidan painting);

- LLC “Balakhna lace” (Nizhny Novgorod region, the city of Balakhna, production of products with Balakhna lace);

- LLC “Balakhna glass-blowing industry” (Nizhny Novgorod region, Balakhna, a branch in the village of Konevo (where the glass-blowing factory used to be located, there is the Black Swan Museum), glass-blowing production (blowing glass products - horses, swans, etc.);

- LLC “Vyksa wooden toy” (Nizhny Novgorod region, the city of Vyksa, manufacture of a wooden toy with a painting (Borodachev toy);

- LLC Nizhny Novgorod Embroidery (Nizhny Novgorod, products with artistic embroidery);

- LLC “Workshop Serebrova” (Nizhny Novgorod region, Bogorodsky district, village Gremyachki, manufacture of wooden musical instruments);

- LLC Gorodetskaya Palette (Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gorodetsky District, Gorodets, the manufacture of ceramic products with painting).

“About a third of the Nizhny Novgorod art crafts survived precisely in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Khokhloma, Polkhov-Maidan and Gorodets paintings, Kazakov filigree, Chkalovsky guipure - this list can be continued for a long time, ”said Gleb Nikitin. “Crafts have become part of the image of Russia throughout the world. I would like the products of our masters to be in demand at home. They were part of the interiors and street decoration, organically used in the clothes of children and adults, ”added Gleb Nikitin.
