144 million rubles will be allocated for stained glass glazing of the Kaluga Museum of Cosmonautics

By the end of July, in the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky plans to complete the installation of the stained glass system, according to RosTender.info.

The museum administration has announced a tender, the results of which are planned to be announced on April 7. We are ready to conclude a contract with the winner for 144 million rubles; the money for the glazing will come from a subsidy from the federal budget.

According to the tender materials, the museum’s second stage building will be equipped with a pitched glazed roof made of shockproof glass and stained-glass windows with safety tempered fire-prevention glass. According to the requirements of the museum, they will be installed before the end of July 2020.

The second stage of the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics in Kaluga is promised to be opened by Cosmonautics Day on April 12, 2021. Work on the creation of a new part of the museum began back in 2014. Then they promised to complete the construction by December 2016.
