An investment project worth 3.2 billion rubles is being implemented in the north of the Sverdlovsk region

A complex for sorting municipal waste will be built in Krasnoturinsk, Sverdlovsk Region. The agreement was signed on May 19 between the Middle Urals Development Corporation (KRSU) and Rifey. The investor will create 299 new jobs, and the amount of investment will amount to 3.2 billion rubles. The object is planned to be built by 2025, according to the press service of KRSU on Tuesday.

"The construction of the sorting complex is being implemented as part of the Ecology national project, its design capacity will reach 130 thousand tons. The new production will sort glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, metal products. The capacities of the new complex will cover the cities that are part of the Northern Management of the district of Sverdlovsk region. Production will be launched on the territory of the district, which will meet the national standard of the Russian Federation on environmental friendliness and safety, "the corporation was informed.

"The Rifey company will become the eleventh resident of the Bogoslovsky industrial park. The project is energy-intensive, the resident will connect to the engineering infrastructure of the industrial park and provide significant capacity utilization," said KRSU Director General Maxim Prachik.

“By implementing this project, we will be able to complete the cycle of waste management, turn it into raw materials, significantly reduce the environmental burden of the Sverdlovsk region. The experience of colleagues in other regions where such production is already operating suggests that the volume of recycling is reduced by 50%.
