Saransk Lighting Engineering Plant "Lisma", owned by the Republican Unitary Enterprise, will become private. The investor will be a group of individuals within the Interpharmglass company, according to a press release from the plant.

"The property complex" Lisma "the new owners plan to acquire during the bankruptcy proceedings. The entire team in full force passes to a new legal entity - Saransk Lighting Engineering Plant" Lisma ", - stated in the message.

It is also noted that the new owners of Lisma plan to make the flagship direction not lighting equipment, but glass production.

The company "Interfarmglass" in recent years has been involved in projects in the field of medical glass and glass containers for medicines. As you know, at present more than 60% of medical glass in Russia is imported. Interpharmglass plans to create a modern high-tech production of these products on the basis of Lisma and take a leading position in the country.

According to IAS Seldon.Basis, Saransk Lighting Engineering Plant Lisma LLC with a registered capital of 10 thousand has been operating since December 25, 2019. The sole founder is Timur Sharipov, General Director and co-owner of Moscow Interfarmglass LLC. Sharipov owns a share in Interfarmglass. 66%, another 17% for Maxim Mudrov and Oleg Ruzankin.

Sharipov also acts as the general director and founder of a number of companies related to food production, catering, and financial consulting. According to the results of 2018, their total revenue (there are no more recent data in the Seldon.Basis IAS) amounted to 197 million rubles. All this amount is accounted for by three LLCs - Lokal Food, Lokal Food Petrograd and Lokal Food Taganka, which operate the Rakovaya gastrobar network.

In conjunction with the Rostec-controlled group of companies, Lytkarinsky Optical Glass Plant, Interfarmglass also acts as a co-founder of Interfarmglass-M LLC. The latter company announced plans to implement a project for the production of borosilicate glass in the special economic zone in Kaluga for the production of glass tubes, ampoules, bottles, cartridges for the pharmaceutical industry. Its declared value is 4.8 billion rubles.

It was precisely the increase in the investment attractiveness of the plant and the search for an investor that were called the strategic goal of the Lisma modernization program, launched in 2014 on the initiative of the head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov, notes Igor Konstantinov, General Director of Lisma.

Lisma LLC, according to the company's website, is the largest producer of light sources in the CIS. The product line includes more than 300 items, including LED lamps, sodium, metal halide, mercury, halogen, incandescent for general and special purposes. In Soviet times, the enterprise functioned as a Svetotekhnika SPO. In 1992 it was corporatized, and in 2007 it became a republican state unitary enterprise, which in 2017 was divided into two legal entities - State Unitary Enterprise "UK" Industrial (Industrial) Park "Lighting Engineering" and LLC "Lisma" controlled by it. According to IAS Seldon.Basis, the company's revenue in 2018 amounted to 1.16 billion rubles, with losses of 142 million rubles.

According to him, within the framework of this program, 90% of the property complex of the former Lisma OJSC was released and transferred under the management of the Ministry of Industry, Science and New Technologies of the Republic of Mordovia for the implementation of the project for creating an industrial park and other investment projects.

“We should also mention the development of promising investment projects, including those aimed at import substitution and expanding our presence on foreign markets. Thus, in a short period, Lisma has become a really attractive asset, ready for a significant leap forward with small financial injections,” commented Konstantinov.

The press release said that negotiations on its possible acquisition by Interfarmglass began about two years ago. Arrangements with the owner of the plant - the government of the republic - were reached last fall. The first steps to conclude a deal have already been completed.

As Igor Konstantinov explained, the program for the further development of the enterprise includes three new areas: the manufacture of medical containers (ampoules, vials, syringes); production of medical glass and the development of new types of glasses; production of glass pipes for the oil refining industry.

As for traditional lighting technology, investors have confirmed their willingness to invest in this area the funds necessary for the modernization of production. In particular, it is planned to implement a project to automate the production of LED filament lamps, which for about three years has been motionless due to lack of investment.
