International online conference

Dear colleagues, good afternoon!

On June 25 and 26, an international online conference on standardization, conformity assessment and the use of personal protective equipment “PPE - new challenges in the new world” will be held as part of the BIOT 2020 exhibition business program.

Where will we meet the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic? How to stop the wave of counterfeit products, give green light to certified PPE and really protect people? This will be discussed at the free international online conference "PPE - new challenges in the new world." The event is part of the business program of the 24th International Exhibition "Safety and Labor Protection" (BIOT-2020). It will consider the urgent problems of the development of a standardization system in Russia, their impact on solving industrial policy issues, improving the quality of PPE products and labor protection in the new reality. Organizers: the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the Association of Developers, Manufacturers and Suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment (SIZ Association). It is carried out with the support of Rostrud and the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart).

The conference will gather a representative composition of participants, representatives of the Ministry of Labor of Russia, Rostrud, Rosstandart, the Social Insurance Fund of Russia, the European Security Federation, the SIZ Association, the expert community, leaders and specialists in labor protection of the largest companies in various fields will speak at it.

The StekloSouz Association of Russia at this event will be represented by President Osipov Viktor Ivanovich.

The program of the conference "PPE - new challenges in the new world" will be divided into 4 blocks.

In the first block, the conference participants will compare the experience of Europe and Russia in the field of conformity assessment. The legislation and current practices of the countries of the European Union will be compared with the Russian requirements laid down in the Federal Law “On Technical Regulation” and the relevant cases of Russian companies. The second block will focus on the main stages of the conformity assessment procedure and ways to prevent unsafe, low-quality personal protective equipment from entering the market. The speakers of the third block will tell how to effectively use tools and new opportunities for updating technical regulations and national standards. The final, fourth block of the conference will be devoted to the issues of control and supervision in the labor sphere and modern practice of using personal protective equipment.

Today, in the process of combating coronavirus infection, a number of urgent issues have accumulated requiring important decisions to simplify and accelerate the processes of providing Russia with high-quality and affordable PPE. The international conference "PPE - New Challenges in the New World" is an event that will bring together security industry experts to discuss and develop mechanisms to effectively deal with pandemic threats in order to minimize future economic, production, and human losses.
