Grodno Glassworks OJSC is launching a major investment project due to the need to increase production volumes due to the prevailing shortage of glass containers in the domestic market and the high share of imports in the glass packaging segment.
The new facility will have the opportunity to produce a colored bottle, standard and lightweight.
As the Grodno Pravda was told in the joint-stock company development department, pre-project documentation for the construction of a new production facility was developed. It will be built on the territory of the FEZ “Grodnoinvest” in Auls.
The creation of a new modern production facility in Auls will contribute to increasing electricity consumption from BelAES to the technology of glass melting.
It is planned to create 126 jobs at the new site, in which 198 people will be provided with employment. The project involves the introduction of modern resource-saving and environmental technologies. Many of them are innovative for the Republic of Belarus.
The project will begin this year and is scheduled for completion in 2022.
